She was born in New York city in 1981, and nowadays she is 39 years old. Keys started composing songs when she was 15 years old (1986). And now she is a famous singer. She is also a composer, pianist, record productor, poet and actress.

Keys is the co-founder and Global Ambassador of "Keep a Child Alive", a non-profit organization that provides medicine, orphan care and social support to families with HIV and AIDS in Africa and India.
